This page came together from an idea I had to represent the massive conference realignment that was happening in NCAA Division I sports. The news on this day was that Big East Conference stalwarts the University of Pittsburgh and Syracuse University were leaving their conference home of 30 years to join the Atlantic Coast Conference. Since the Division I logos we had on file looked like chips, and the realignment scramble was similar to a fast-paced strategy game, the idea of creating a Connect Four board with the logos came to mind. The logos sitting at the bottom of the centerpiece represented the programs that were rumored to be on the move, but had not yet committed to staying in their conference or moving to a new one.
