For this project, I'm expanding my knowledge about the origin and evolution of Mexican Fashion by working with different mediums like photography, typography, and textiles in order to execute the main idea of the project. Utilizing different color fabrics, jewelry, and other fashion components, I am focusing on illustrating/creating a traditional Mexican look that celebrates my cultural heritage as a Latina. By the use of photography I will also be illustrating the different outfits that come from various cities from the country of Mexico, as well as the different accessories and colors that have an important meaning behind the clothes and the outfit as whole.
Mexico boasts a thriving design scene that is highly dynamic in Latin America. It combines tradition, modernity, and creativity, resulting in a hub of innovative ideas. From chic fashion labels to award-winning eateries, the country has a plethora of options. Each day, art, architecture, fashion, design, and food in Mexico are continually being pushed to new heights, exhibiting the endless potential of the country.
