A bit about the Project
This is the packaging design for a fictional chocolate brand I came up with called 'ONEONEC.' My goal with this packaging was to make a design as brutal as possible without sacrificing the key task the packaging has to perform. This approach might seem contradictory for a chocolate packaging at first, but when you start to think about it, a bar of chocolate that sits on a shelf next to dozens of other bars of chocolate doesn't necessarily need to scream, 'Hey, I'm brown and edible and delicious and sweet.' It needs to scream, 'Hey, look at me, I'm completely different so buy me.' After that dramatic explanation, a bit about the design process: one of the things I did with this packaging prototype, which I have never done before, is taking really nice images of it. This was such a rewarding experience as you see your design so beautifully captured in a way a mockup could never show.
