Meeting the client (three days before a big event), it was immediately clear that Bill had a style that was totally classic, well worn, and straight forward. He came in on a Tuesday with a color, and loved the punch of letterpress printing, so we came up with these in our first meeting and they were boxed and ready for Thursday.
Deep letterpress halftones did a couple fun things here, the first of which was to push up the logo we designed and second was a really great sheen of heavy rubber-based ink. The wooodgrain translated very nicely, and that rough seam between the top and bottom almost looks a bit like a horizon, like the knot turned into a Kansas sunrise. Great client, and a fun project
